🇵🇸 Check on your Palestinian friends. Learn about what’s going on. Depending on where you vote, pressure your elected officials to do everything they can to support the Palestinians. 🇵🇸 I am not qualified to speak on #Palestine, or do justice to the deep, deadly injustice happening right now (and that has been happening for decades) but many of our Palestinian friends are. Follow them, support the BDS movement (and agitate for it in any institution you are connected to), send folks on the ground money/resources if possible - and find out where your local #FreePalestine solidarity protest is TOMORROW (15 May) so you can join and show your support. This is a sombre Eid for so many, let us show that we all stand for a #FreePalestine. 🇵🇸 Folks like @instasaranade @randaafattah will point you in the right direction. Folks like @mohammedelkurd @we_are_not_numbers are on the ground. Not all activism happens online, but the fact that we are able to hear directly from Palestinians, inside and out, is an honour and gift. Let’s make sure we listen. 🇵🇸

It’s a fantastic space and institution, and one that I am honoured to be a trustee of, joining late last year. 📚 Tho the full membership is a bit exxy, there are fantastic remote membership options, as well as heavy discounts for students and under-30s, and for those (like me) outside the academia but needing access to journals etc, the London library has you covered for that too.
